We take seriously our responsibility to ensure our guides have the best river rescue and medical training. Our Colorado river rafting trips guide training program is five weeks in duration, well beyond the state of Colorado’s minimum training requirements, and well beyond any other Colorado outfitter. You won’t find this level of training with other scout rafting trips. We go above and beyond your expectations because it’s the right thing to do, and because your group deserves it.

Echo Canyon guides realize that while the white water rapids are the main draw for most rafters, youth rafting trips are about much more than the thrill of the splash. There is ample time between rapids to share stories about the rich history of the Arkansas River Valley, and to learn about native wildlife and flora we pass by over the course of the trip. Our guides are trained to be more than just raft guides, but to be stewards of the river environment and region – to share their knowledge with your group. All Scouting Troops receive 15% off any half day or full day raft trip at Echo Canyon. Troops also receive 20% off photo/video packages after their raft trip. Complimentary wetsuit gear is also available as needed.
