GoPro Cameras Mounted on Every Echo Canyon Raft

Rafting the Arkansas with Echo Canyon River Expeditions will provide memories to last a lifetime. Now you can relive those memories over and over – from mid-May through Labor Day Weekend, all Echo Canyon rafts are equipped with GoPro cameras your guide controls! We’re the only rafting outfitter who offers a variety of photography and video packages that include on-board cameras to capture video footage of you and your family as you take on the rapids. We mount the cameras on the front of the raft and point the cameras towards you and the other crew members, so we get priceless reactions as waves come over the bow of the raft and splash everyone on board. Please note that due to the nature of technology, we can make no guarantees the GoPro camera or our shore-side camera and/or media cards will not fail in rare instances causing a loss or photos and/or video.

How Does it Work?

Over the course of your rafting adventure on Bighorn Sheep Canyon, the Royal Gorge, or the Scenic Float section, your guide will record a variety of video clips from the rapids. But that’s not all, GoPro cameras are also know for their ability to capture incredible still photos. Just how much footage and photos will your guide capture? Just as every raft trip is different, so too will be your personal photo package. On average, you’ll get 3-4 videos per trip and about 100+ photos! We’ll deliver your purchased files via a digital download link sent to your email address.

Sometimes the action captured on the GoPro has so much whitewater it’s tough to see the rafters. So Echo Canyon also has photographers who shoot photos of your raft from the shore – this gives you a different perspective shows you just how big that wave was! During the main summer rafting season, an Echo photographer will photograph your raft as it comes through at least one of the best rapids out there.

Please note that GoPro photos/videos and photos captured by shoreside photographers are available mid May through Labor Day weekend.
