Five Points Rapid (Class III) - Bighorn sheep canyon

Fivepoints Rapid is a consistent class III rapid with number of splashy waves to cool down the paddle crew and provide some thrills along the way! At higher water flows the upper reaches of the rapid get the party started early with additional waves that’ll soak any raft. Medium and lower flows find the upper rapid calmer and shallow with a few rocks to maneuver around.

The lower portion of Fivepoints is where the most gradient occurs and is where rafters will find the most consistent waves and obstacles no matter the water flow. It’s in this area of the rapid where an observation deck extends over the river, affording passers-by an excellent viewpoint to photograph and cheer on the rafters below!
