Multi-Day Arkansas River Rafting Trips

There’s a lot that goes into a multi-day rafting trip, but we’ll take care of all of the details to keep it simple for you. We include the following:

• transportation to the river from our Echo Canyon office near Cañon City
• double occupancy tents
• sleeping bags and sleeping pads
• camp pillows
• full wet suit package
• waterproof dry bags if necessary

Our multi-day rafting trips feature some of the best whitewater in the state of Colorado, so be prepared for lots of splashes and paddling! One of the best aspects of the Arkansas River is the large number of vehicle access points which enables us to raft the best sections of whitewater, and skip past the lesser exciting sections. We use this to our advantage to provide you with the absolute most exciting whitewater. What’s an example of how we do this? After a night of camping by the river, we may board our shuttle van and drive 15-30 minutes to get to the next adventurous section of river. Once we get on the river, we continue on downstream or the remainder of that day.

We utilize a few different camps for our multi-day rafting trips. Sometimes we camp at state park campgrounds that are primarily ‘river runner’ campgrounds. Other times we use our private riverside camp in lower Bighorn Sheep Canyon. But the focus is always to keep you on the river, so you can always expect riverside camps. This is the time when you can enjoy fishing if you chose to bring fishing gear and a fishing license. The camps we stay at normally have pit toilets or port-a-let toilets. They are located in areas where you typically will not get cell phone reception – perfect to unplug!

When your trip is complete, we’ll transport you back to our rafting office where you can make use of our changing rooms and bathrooms. You’ll probably be famished after a long trip on the river, so you can hit up our 8 Mile Bar and Grill located right on-site!
